The Southern Maine and United Valley Heroes Breakfast honors local people for acts of great bravery, dedication, and service to their community.
Last year, we celebrated the heroic efforts of people who live and work in our communities and honored them for their outstanding acts. We were proud to honor, an officer who came to the aid of some young osprey, two individuals who worked together to give a man CPR and save his life, a young girl determined to raise money for the St. John River flood victims, a community determined to save their treasured landmark and others who risked their own lives on a cold winter night to save their friend.
Their actions exemplified what it means to help your community and give hope when there is none.
